Come on Comme de Garcons!

The styling and the marketing were way better than the fashion. I think most of us agree with each other about that regarding the Comme de Garcons collection at H&M last week. How could Rei Kawakubo, who is normally a stunning experimental fashion designer, think, that the world is missing millions of little white points? Do you know what I think, when I see another girl in a poor blue point shirt? Poor thing, you were queuing all morning outside, just to get this lousy peace? I feel sorry for the ones beeing fooled.

I prefer buying a real Comme de Garcons dress in ten years. From the money I saved by not buying any blue dot Shirt till then.

Building for Diesel

how to sell

Did you ever buy a ring, cause you feel sorry for it? This one is tired of his window position and hopes to be redeemed by you. Come on, show him the world! You don't like wearing one pound glass on your finger? You will walk away with a bad mind.

Faux Frames

First I saw them on Paul Smiths runway. Then everywhere. Faked glasses. They make people look smarter, AND sharpen their view. The eyes are more relaxed when they look through a flatten surface (even it is just sash pane) Good to wear especially in front of the computer.

Sarah

Keira

If you are fed up wearing your fake glasses on your nose, your neck line could be a better place.

Andre

Guess whats Andre Austins profession? He wears do-it-yourself plastic necklaces, and dipped his sneakers in pink paint. Sure, stylist.

Tagua-Rings

Jennifer

Jennifer (24) is quite busy as a fashion assistant, so she didn't have more time than to tall me, that her blue dress is from Wayne. And that Mesi Jilly designed her huge crafty ring. What a peace of art!

Vika

I saw the Russian designer Vika Gazinskaya (left) everyday at fashionweek and she always catched my eye as one of the most special dressed guests. I wonder, whether she knows exactly what to pick out of her closet, or whether she changes several times in the mornings. Scott Schuman (in shorts on her left) just praised her haircut on the Sartorialist. This picture is for everyone, who wants to see it from behind...

ROMA

Roma (26) is wearing a Custo rag knotted like a dress around her neck. Her name is a mergence of Rosa-Maria, so she is not Italian, but half Polish half Kenyan, born in Germany. Speaking three languages fluently is possibly useful for her job at the department of public information at the UN. At work Roma has to dress UN code like, after work she wears inherited clothes from her mother, or fashion from INA. But actually Roma is more into eating and drinking than into design. Favorites: Kuma Inn and Le Pere Pinard in the Lower East Side.

BERND&OLIVIA

The abstract painter Bernd Naber came to New York, when Andy Warhol was still living. Since then decades past, but Bernd kept his unique style. He loves white cloth. Olivia Fincato, who baught her whole outfit at Zara, writes about art, design and culture. A nice couple? „We just met here“, says Olivia at the modern dance performance. Last year the italian journalist published her first book about the 106 year old woman doctor Lucia Servadio Bedarida.

EVA

Two years passed since Eva (26) is living in New York, although she just wanted to stay for three months. Bavarian born stylist, fashion journalist and photographer buys buckets of vintage cloth at the Salvation Army Shop and customizes it. No surprise she cuts her bangs by herself.

MAC

„I would go shopping everyday, if i could“, says Mac, 25, who loves Jack Spade and works as stylist. And as assistant in the DC Store. He spread eight tatoos on his body and started to primp, when he was eighteen. At that time he was still living in Minessota, already working in retail. Unbelievable but true: his last name is Donald. „I like classics.“ M(a)c admits.

TAO

„I buy my cloths in stores,“ Tao (29) said. duh - where? "I got the hat at my friends shop, called Stillife in East Village." Last week Tao rescued a five week old kitten, that someone had thrown in the dumpster. It lives now at the music studio Tao has been building since three years. It will be finished at the end of July. Who knows, whether he will record the music of his DJ collective Phonostar or Justin Timberlake?

SUZANNE

Suzanne (49) is famous for singing many Ds, as her last name is Vega. She lives in the Upper West Side and when she doesnt feel like traveling downtown to Daryl K , she pays Barneys a call. Lucky Daryl K suits the taste of the best singers in town as the shop is also the place, where Christian Joy met her muse Karen O, the singer of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

RICHIE

Richie (24) wears everyday the same. He either steals the cloth of his friends and their relatives (his shirt was worn for years by his friends grandfather) or they deviate it voluntary. Thats why the singer of the ascending Indie Band the Willowz doesnt buy any cloth in New York, but has many friends, even he comes originally from L.A. There he found his jeans at Earnest Sewn.

KATHRINE

Here flitters a coat from Elisa Jimene, the New York/ New Mexico-based Designer, who was featured in the television series “Project Runway” over the Williamsburg Bridge. But before we could ask Kathrine, where she was going, she was already on the move.

CHIHARU

Chiharus simple plastic bag wants to be a leather bag. So Marc Jabobs printed lines on it, that look like joints. She bought it and the jacket at Barneys, but her favorite shop in town is Opening Ceremony, that features young European designers like Pulver. Chiharus developes products for GAP and eats best in italian restaurants.

SASCHA

6,5 feet high Swiss born Sascha (36) is nearly too tall to fit in the picture. Besides the Peter Grimms hat, named “sweet thing“, he bought all parts of his outfit at H&M and Zara. Besided his PhD project in Architecture, that guided him to New York, Sascha is looking for landlords to expand his project Hotel Balkan, a platform that accomplishes guests and hosts.

HAIDEE

„I liked the pictures but not the words“, says Haidee Findlay-Levin after the worldpremier of Peter Lindberghs and Holly Fishers movie Everywhere at Once. Today the famous fantastic mag stylist wears Dries van Noten shoes and plastic Vintage glasses instead of Ray Bans - just for style or to see the movie? We dont know. And she does not know why we think, that she dresses special. "I just wear a black top and black pants.“

LANE

On weekends assistent director at Jejj Bailey`s Gallery rather visits the Whitney Museum than fancy boutiques. Not that she doesnt like fashion, she orders it at home. „Internet shopping is eclectic and individual“, says Lane. There she bought her thermoplastic Melissa shoes, that Alexandre Herchcovitch designed. Besides him she must like the smell of plastic.
